PUPIL INTERVIEWS
We are proud to share the voices of our Year 8 students, who offer a unique perspective on their experiences at St. Colman’s. From their favourite
subjects to the friendships they’ve formed, these students give an authentic glimpse into what life is like at our school. Their words reflect the
sense of community, personal growth, and the excitement of learning that define our approach. Through their stories, you’ll see how
St. Colman’s fosters an environment where young people are encouraged to explore their passions, develop their talents, and feel supported
every step of the way.

I came to St. Colman’s on the open day and the first
thing I saw was how lovely the teachers were. They
were kind and caring. My brother came here, he
keeps saying how much he loved the school. I really
love it here and it feels like the perfect fit for me. My
favourite subjects are Maths, Science and
Technology and I really enjoy theNetball and
Football after school clubs.
I attend St. Colmans High and Sixth Form College. I
chose this school as I’d heard amazing things from
people about it, and I’ve had lots of family
members come here, even my Mum! I love this
school because of its lovely teachers, friendly
students and kind and helpful classroom
assistants. Everyone is so nice here and I really feel
part of a family. I have made my best friends here
and I would recommend it to anyone.

I went to Drumlins Integrated Primary School and
I was thinking about 3 different choices for High
Schools. I went to St. Colman’s Open Day and The
Home Economics and Hair and Beauty
Departments really impressed me, as well as the
friendly staff. I’ve made great friends here and I
love my subjects and teachers.
So far I have found Year 8 fun and exciting. The first
few days I was anxious but realised quickly there
was nothing to worry about. I have made tons of
friends and met loads of kind and caring teachers.
I love Technology and Science and HE the most.
St. Colman’s is an amazing school and I really feel
welcome here.

I chose to come to St. Colman’s High and Sixth
Form College because of the Open Days. There
were lots of opportunities to have a look at the
school. The staff and teachers are very
welcoming and I knew this was the school for me.
When I joined I instantly knew I was in good hands,
this school has given me some forever friends and
a safe place to learn. I love the afterschool clubs and
my favourites are Netball and Badminton.
Hi, Im Sofia, I remember being so nervous at the

was definitely the best choice!
