POST 16 INTERVIEWS
Ryan Kelly, Studying A Level Maths, Life and Health Science and Geography
I began my time here in St. Colman’s as the youngest of five brothers who all
attended the school. When I first started here the teachers and the friends I met
quickly helped me settle in and feel part of a big new family. Fast forward a few
years and I received 6 A*’s and 3 A’s in my GCSE’s and was awarded best overall
GCSE student. There was only one place where I wanted to continue my school
and I stayed on to complete my A- Levels and pursue my dream of becoming a
Civil Engineer.
Tyra Dube, Studying A- Level Health and Social Care, Biology and Life and Health Sciences
I chose this school as it offered exciting opportunities to learn and grow. My time
here in St. Colman’s has been helpful for my academic and personal growth. It is
a supportive community, is welcoming and ensures your safety throughout your
learning and more importantly your mental wellbeing. I am studying a range of
A- Levels which should help me to go to University and onwards to study
Neurology.
Leila Miller, studying A Levels in Sociology, Health and Social Care and Sport.
I chose St Colman’s after I attended the open day, as both the staff and students
offered the warmest of welcomes. This school has made my transition from
GCSEs in a different school to A- Levels here a completely smooth sailing
experience. I hope to go on to teaching or Law after A Levels and I could not have
chosen a better school to help me get there. . The support from everyone is
second to none.
